Dr. Joey Zhou found BM Vision in 2015, focusing on machine vision technology to improve high-end manufacturing on optical inspection (AOI), especially for the Flat Panel Display (FPD) industry and the semiconductor industry. BM Vision enables equipment manufacturers with cutting-edge AOI capability, cultivating the ecology and standardization of AOI. Their AOI vision platform for FPD was deployed in the supply chain of major brands of 3C. Before founding BM Vision, Dr. Joey Zhou had served 3M Cogent 9 years, since 2006 as technical director. 3M Cogent is the top player in the global market of fingerprint systems, facial recognition systems, and iris recognition systems for law enforcement and border control. Dr. Joey Zhou holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), a Ph.D. from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and an MBA degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
