On the trip to US in February Director Larry Yee visited our Chairman Dr Robert Lee in his Danville home. Dr Lee is of course well known in the Silicon Valley as a High-tech executive, transformational entrepreneur, and investor. He was also active in GBA before Covid with the BIG forum when he was professor at CUHK that we first met. More importantly to me he helped in several US delegations that I had the opportunity to initiate.
So this was a wonderful reunion after Covid. We talked about the AAMA/Cradle Academy developments in GBA, how we managed to stay active despite the epidemic, and exchanged views on more collaboration with SV. So stay tuned…
On a personal note Dr Lee is also an experienced art collector so we had a good talk on his collection from all over the world. I even had the honor of tasting their scotch whiskey barrel - yes their own production, sipping at his bar that was the hangout place with celebrities such as John Chen from HK, then CEO of Sybase.
I look forward to Robert resuming his regular visits to GBA!
